ELDERON 12 TIGERTON 2
Elderon banged out twelve hits
and had five homers as they defeated the Tigers.
The WhiskeyJacks
took a 1-0 lead in the first inning on a solo homer by Marv Meronk. They upped their lead to 2-0 in the
second when Justin Meronk homered. The
winners added two more runs in the third when Matt Meronk delivered a two-run double.
Tigerton scored a run in the fourth to cut the lead to 4-1 as Eric Kroening homered but that was as close as the
Tigers would get. Elderon scored five times in the fifth on an RBI
single by Troy Leiskau and a Grand Slam
homer by Randy Printz to move in front 9-1
and never looked back.
The WhiskeyJacks
concluded their scoring in the seventh as Leiskau
belted a two-run homer and Printz followed
with a solo shot to right.
Tigerton's final run came in the
eighth when Brad Breaker delivered a run scoring single with the
bases loaded to drive in Eric Gendusa.
Rick Boda
was the winning pitcher. He worked seven innings allowing just two
hits while striking out five and walking three. Marv Meronk finished for the WhiskeyJacks
allowing a run on three hits.
Nick Desrochers
took the loss. Paul Sellner and Eric Gendusa also hurled for the Tigers. They allowed
12 hits, fanned four and walked five.
Randy Printz
led the Elderon attack going 2 for 3 with two homers and five RBI.
Matt Meronk was 2 for 4 with a double an two RBI. Troy Leiskau was 2 for 4 with a homer and three BRI.
Marv Meronk and Justin Meronk
each had a home run while Kasey Morgan and Mike Lehman also had hits
for the winners.
Eric Kroening
led the Tigerton offense going 2 for 4 with a homer and an RBI. Brad Bresker had a hit and an RBI, and Jon Berg
and Shawn Much each had a hit. Eric Gendusa
walked four times.
Elderon played errorless ball
while Tigerton committed three fielding miscues accounting for five
unearned runs.
CLINTONVILLE 4
PLOVER 3
Gerrick Mogan's RBI
single in the top of the ninth gave Clintonville a 4-2 lead and they hung
on as Plover mounted a rally in the bottom of the frame as the A's
edged the Pterodacyles.
Plover took a 1-0 lead in the scond inning on Bill Held's
RBI single. Clintonville tied the score at 1-1 in the fourth
when Jesse Wiley legged out an RBI double. Eric Lemmens
RBI double in the bottom of the fourth put Plover in front 2-1, but
the A's answered in the fifth as Ryan Ebert banged a two-run double
that gave Clintonville a 3-2 lead they would never relinquish.
After the A's scored in the top of
the ninth to lead 4-2, John Jazenovsky
singled to cut the lead to 4-3 but that was a close as Plover would
get as Clintonville escaped further damage.
John Dunlavy
was the winning pitcher. Howie Heinrich took the loss.
Ryan Ebert led the A's going 3
for 5. Jesse Wiley was 2 for 4 with two doubles and Aaron Everts was 2 for 4. Howie Heinrich was 2 for
5 and John Jazenovsky was 2 for 4 to lead
Plover.
